Achieving Goals
It was morning and I was getting ready because it was my
first time joining a badminton tournament. After getting a quick shower I
rushed through our field to get some practice.
After that hard-killing training I went home and eat some
foods. While eating, my mother told me to “bring home the bacon”. I know what
she meant. When I looked at our clock, my face turned blue. I’m late for the
tournament! I hurriedly kissed my mother and run as fast as I could.
At the tournament, I was relieved because I made it on
time. When the game was about to begin. I prayed not to won but to show my
talent in playing badminton. I was excited because this time it was my match.
In the end of the game I was qualified to go to the next level. On the second
part of the game I still won and I’m up to the last part of the game “the
finals”. When the game ended I was on the second spot.
I was so sad when I returned home. When I opened our door
many people including my parents said “Surprised!” “Mom, dad I’m sorry because
I didn't won the first place”. That’s okay son even though you are not champion
at least you brought this silver prize”, my father said.”Thanks dad”, I said “Enough
chit chatting boys let’s get the party started”, my mother said.
